Simon Baumann is a self-taught musician, artist and creative mind. He graduated from University Fribourg in Media and Economics. 
As a drummer he performed live at the 2014 Montreux Jazz Festival (Stravinski Hall) with Stephan Eicher on their ongoing European tour, starting in 2011, having played over 100 shows. He was also drumming on L'Envolée, the 2013 album of Stephan Eicher (Barclay/Universal).
Simon Baumann also is or was touring with Hank Shizzoe, Kutti MC, Mercury, Florian Favre, one:shot:orchestra and many more.
As a Studio Drummer he played the drums for Hank Shizzoe
Native Instruments Berlin (all Abbey Road Series), Deetron (with Fritz Kalkbrenner), Stephan Eicher, Kutti MC (several albums), Benfay, Baze and others.
As a Remixer & Producer, Simon Baumann remixed and reworked Songs for Mercury, Bonaparte, Junior, TRUE and many more. Two popular works of Simon Baumann are "Sunny (Mercury & Baumon Edit)" and "I Don't Listen Much (Mercury & Baumon Remix)".
Simon Baumann is part of Mercury & one:shot:orchestra and a secret upcoming project... and of course! He is also part of Polstergruppe.
Simon Baumann is or was CoProducer for one:shot:orchestra, Mercury and Zachov. As Producer/Sounddesigner he worked for Native Instruments.
In 2015 Simon Baumann started his first Solo Project as 'BAUMON'. He released a official Remix of Marvin Gaye's Sunny on Universal Music America (Sunny - Baumon Remix). For Hollywood TV Series 'Ray Donovan' he produced a exclusive rework of 'Sunny' featuring Kerrys Dorsey and Octavius J. Johnson on vocals. 
In 2016 Simon Baumann was given the 'Carte Blanche' of Bern Citys bee-flat club. Following up he created together with Stephan Eicher and Rainier Lericolais the first live performance of 'Die Polstergruppe' with guest appearences of Pedro Lenz, Hank Shizzoe, Mario Batkovic, Simon Heggendorn, Zimoun, Don Li, Mel Bus and Adrian Iten. For the first time, Baumann performed a #Liegekonzert. 
In 2017 & 2018 Baumann continued his work with 'Die Polstergruppe' with performances & #liegekonzerten at 'La Batie' Festival (Geneva) , Fondation van Gogh (Arles), Neubad (Luzern), Kulturpalast (Nürnberg), La Nuit des Images (Lausanne) and many more. 
During these performances he cooperated with John Armleder, Marco Repetto, Colin Vallon, Dan Reeder, Fabian Kalker and others. Informations about 'Die Polstergruppe' can be found here
In fall 2018 Baumann started working on his first solo work under the name of 'OSOMO'. Following his Polstergruppe research but acting now as a solo artist. On May 26 2018, Osomo was invited to test the first live prototype of his new 'horizontal concert' performance-format at Orbital Garden, Bern.
In may 2019 OSOMO premiers with the first prototype at omu103 in Switzerland. Soon he starts performing at more venues like Dampfzentrale Bern, Neubad Luzern, Fondation Beyeler Riehen, Bain des Paquis Geneva. His "Horizontal Concert" idea starts to grow and in 2023 he joins XX Label  (To be announced) to release his first singles and debut album (starting in February 2023). Simon Baumann currently lives in Switzerland.
